Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Aminul Islam Bulbul has left for Australia to spend time with his family. He left Dhaka for Melbourne from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday (February 16) afternoon.
The board's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nizamuddin Chowdhury Sujan told a local media outlet, "Bulbul Bhai has gone out of the country for family reasons. I hope he will return in the next few weeks after spending time with his family in Australia."
It is learned that before leaving the country, Bulbul informed the BCB directors about his departure to Australia in a WhatsApp group and instructed his respective committees to continue their work as usual. At the same time, he also wished his colleagues on the occasion of the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
Aminul's family has been living in Australia for a long time. He worked at the BCB for two consecutive months after returning home in December last year. During this time, he has organized two domestic T20 tournaments - the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and the Adomyo T20 Cup - in a short period of time.
However, the BCB president has had to spend the most time with the national team. Starting from the issue of Bangladesh's boycott of the T20 World Cup to holding multiple meetings with the ICC and the Pakistan Cricket Board on the issue of holding the India-Pakistan match on the field.
