On Sunday evening, in the Juhu area of Mumbai, miscreants opened fire, targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff. According to the police, his driver and an auto-rickshaw driver were injured in the incident.

Shortly after the attack, an audio message surfaced in which an individual—claiming to represent the Lawrence Bishnoi gang—took responsibility for the assault. The person also issued an open threat to all professionals in the Mumbai film industry who work with Salman Khan.

In the viral audio clip, a man identifying himself as Anil Pandit claimed that Tiger Shroff was targeted for defying the gang's directives by continuing to work with Salman Khan. Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, currently incarcerated in a Gujarat prison, has previously threatened to kill Salman Khan on several occasions.

In the audio message, the man is heard saying, "Anyone in the film industry who works independently—ignoring us—or chooses to work with Salman Khan, we will kill them. This is our first and final warning. This Salman Khan is Dawood Ibrahim’s dog, and we have a dog named Dawood kept at home."

The message further stated, "We tried to explain things to him over the phone, but he didn't listen; so today, we made him understand in no uncertain terms."

Police sources indicate that three assailants on a motorcycle were involved in the shooting in Juhu last Sunday evening. The attack on Tiger Shroff took place as he was leaving a football field. While the actor remained unharmed, his driver sustained a gunshot wound to his hand. The police are currently investigating to determine the identities of the attackers, their motives, and all other aspects surrounding the incident.

In 2023, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) reported that Salman Khan topped a list of ten primary targets identified by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang—a vendetta fueled by the Bishnoi community's long-standing outrage over the infamous 1998 blackbuck poaching case. The Bishnoi gang has warned that if Salman Khan does not offer an apology, no one in his family will be spared—not even their pet dogs.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has spoken with the Mumbai Police Commissioner to gather details regarding the shooting incident. He has also directed the Commissioner to expedite the investigation and take strict legal action against those involved.
