Dhallywood director Raihan Rafi and internationally renowned director Abdullah Mohammad Saad – the coming together of these two directors from two poles is undoubtedly a big surprise for cinema. And with that surprise, the new movie ‘Eyes’ is being brought to the big screen. Tanvir Hossain is the producer of this movie. This project has brought good news from the international arena at the beginning of production. Recently, director Raihan Rafi gave such news.
Director Raihan Rafi made a post on social media. In that post, he talked about the new mission and the beginning and end of the movie. He told about the story and ideas behind the movie. The under-production movie ‘Eyes’ is expected to be selected for the prestigious ‘Copro-Access Lab 2026’.
In the post on social media, Raihan Rafi wrote, ‘Some movies are born from stories. Some movies start around a question. And ‘Eyes’ was born from an unwavering belief. For a long time, we have drawn an artificial wall of so-called art house and commercial cinema. I never believe that cinema can be confined within such boundaries.’
The director said, ‘A film can be emotional, entertaining, thoughtful and contemporary at the same time, and still deeply move the audience. For me, the meaning of cinema is always here. ‘Eyes’ is very special to me. Because it is based on this film that I became one with Abdullah Mohammad Saad and Tanvir Hossain.’
Regarding the coming together of the trio, Raihan Rafi said, ‘The three of us look at cinema with completely different backgrounds, different psychology and different perspectives. And it is this diversity that has made our joint journey so exciting for me. Saad’s strength is his psychological depth, silence and moral tension, and bringing the fragile truth inside people to the screen.
He said, And Tanveer's strength is his faith, perseverance and the foresight of a producer to make this combination a reality. I added speed, scope, emotion and the innate ability to understand the psychology of the audience. I believe, 'Eyes' will find its own language in the combination of these different strengths.
Thanking the entire team, an excited Raihan Rafi said, I am very happy to announce that our under-production film 'Eyes' has been selected for 'Copro-Access Lab 2026'.
He said, This is a very meaningful first step for the work that we are making big with great care and love. My sincere thanks to Copro-Access Lab and the entire team for trusting this project. Celine Loop, Mathivanan Rajendran, Pooja Mohite - gratitude to you.
