Asha Bhosle’s new song is being released after her death, AR Rahman releases teaser

On the occasion of World Music Day, composer and music director AR Rahman has released the teaser of a new song paying tribute to legendary singer Asha Bhosle. This special song is being released as a tribute to the memory of the late artist. Asha Bhosle passed away in April this year at the age of 92.
This song has been sung by AR Rahman and Asha Bhosle. To give the song a global feel, classical musicians from London's renowned Trinity Laban Music College have also been added. Rahman wrote on social media X (formerly Twitter), "On this World Music Day, we are celebrating a voice that has crossed the boundaries of generations, languages and countries. The planning of this tribute began while Asha Bhosle ji was still alive. We hoped that she would be able to see with her own eyes the love and gratitude that this project contains."
He also said that we honor legends all over the world. Fortunately, we also had an artist whose voice became the anthem of countless lives. We have brought together different musical genres and artists to celebrate her extraordinary legacy.
Sharing his experience working with Asha Bhosle, Rahman said, "Asha's voice is one of the greatest gifts to Indian and global music. She was one of the biggest inspirations and guides in my musical life. She wanted the song to be lively and joyful. So we experimented in various ways in the recording. The vitality and warmth that she has brought to this song too is what has made it timeless.
AR Rahman and Asha Bhosle have worked together for a long time on various songs. Some of their popular works include songs like 'Ranjila Re' and 'Tanha Tanha' from the film 'Rangeela', 'Kahin Aag Lage' from 'Taal', 'Radha Kaise Na Jale' from 'Lagaan', 'Rang De' from 'Thakshak' and 'September Madham'.
