Oil prices have recently fallen slightly in the global market as crude oil supplies from the Middle East have started to return to normal. However, US President Donald Trump has ruled out the possibility of easing sanctions on Iran. After that, crude oil prices have started to rise again in the international market.
The price of Brent crude, the international benchmark, rose $1.14, or 1.11 percent, to $103.73 per barrel at around 7:30 am Bangladesh time on Wednesday (September 30), Reuters reported.
At the same time, the price of US benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude rose 34 cents, or 0.38 percent, to $89.72 per barrel.
Brent crude prices are expected to rise by about 14 percent in September, the highest monthly increase since July. On the other hand, WTI crude prices, which have crossed the $106 mark for the first time since May, are on track to rise by about 4 percent this month.
According to data from energy analytics firm Kepler, confirmed daily oil shipments from September 24 to 27 showed significant fluctuations. During that period, an average of 6.5 million to 12.6 million barrels of oil were transported per day. The company said that this amount could increase further after verifying the initial data and final calculations in recent days.
Earlier on Monday (September 28), Kepler data showed that crude oil exports from Middle Eastern oil-producing countries rose to 16.328 million barrels per day in September, the highest level since the US-Israeli war against Iran began in late February.
