Big fall in gold prices in the country

The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has reduced the price of gold in the country's market. The organization has reduced the price of a 22-carat gold bhori by 3,266 taka, including VAT, to 2,25,290 taka.

BAJUS announced this information in a notification at 12 noon on Monday (July 6). The new price has come into effect from 12:15 pm today.

BAJUS said that the price of pure gold in the local market has decreased. As a result, considering the overall situation, the new price of gold, including VAT, has been determined.

According to the new price, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) including VAT in the country's market will be 2,25,290 taka. In addition, the price of gold has been fixed at 215,142 taka per 21 carat, 184,757 taka per 18 carat and 150,932 taka per 18 carat.

Earlier, on Friday (July 3), Bajus had fixed the price of a 22 carat gold bori at 228,556 taka including VAT by increasing the price by 4,374 taka per 21 carat. In addition, the price of gold has been fixed at 218,292 taka per 21 carat, 187,440 taka per 18 carat and 153,148 taka per 18 carat.

So far this year, the price of gold has been adjusted 87 times in the country's market. Where the price has been increased 43 times, reduced 43 times and VAT has been adjusted 1 time.
