National Citizens Party (NCP) spokesperson Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan said that extremists have come to power in West Bengal and bad comments about Bangladesh are increasing.

He made these comments at an event organized at the NCP's temporary office at Rupayan Tower in the capital on Tuesday (May 5).

Addressing the winners of the neighboring country, Asif Mahmud warned that it is better not to talk about their internal affairs in Bangladesh.

At the event, NCP's northern chief organizer Sarjis Alam said that the government is trying to abolish the Upazila Parishad. He warned that trying to establish such misrule will have counterproductive results.

At the event, MP Hannan Masud called on the government to 'emerge with good sense'. He demanded that the referendum verdict be immediately implemented.
