Chinese investment in Bangladesh has increased by 300 percent, said Trade Advisor Sheikh Bashir Uddin. He said that Bangladesh will be able to move forward faster by utilizing joint experience and cooperation.
He gave this information while talking to reporters at the 'Belt and Road Initiative in Bangladesh Exhibition' organized at the Bashundhara Convention Center in the capital on Friday (September 12).
Sheikh Bashir Uddin said that we have to move forward by identifying our weaknesses and exchanging experiences. If we can utilize China's experience in the production and packaging sectors, Bangladesh will be able to move forward further.

Seeking China's cooperation in developing road infrastructure and transportation capacity, the advisor said that every year, a terrible number of lives are lost in road accidents. Therefore, road infrastructure development and modernization of the transportation system are essential.
Regarding the reciprocal tariff with the United States, he said that a delegation of the US government is coming to Dhaka next Sunday to discuss the tariff issue. The delegation will discuss the tariff structure.
