Heavy bombing is being carried out in Gaza, Palestine every day. Israel is also regularly carrying out air and drone attacks in Lebanon, Syria and Yemen. On Monday, a suspected Israeli drone attacked a humanitarian aid ship bound for Gaza in Tunisia. In addition, the latest military attack targeting Doha also indicates Israel's increasing regional military operations.

Israel carried out a massive attack on Doha, the capital of Qatar, on Tuesday. The country's Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) claimed that the attack was carried out against Hamas leaders.

Several loud explosions were heard in Doha on Tuesday afternoon local time in Qatar. Black smoke was seen in the sky over Doha.

Shortly after the explosions, the IDF said in a statement that they had carried out a specific attack targeting Hamas's top leadership in a joint operation with the Shin Bet security agency.

Although the IDF did not say which Hamas leader was targeted, the group's top leaders have been using Doha as a political headquarters outside the Gaza Strip for years.

Meanwhile, a senior Hamas official confirmed to US media outlet CNN that the attack targeted their negotiating team in Doha.

Strongly condemning the attack, Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari said in a statement that the attack was a gross violation of all international laws and regulations and a serious threat to the safety and security of Qatari citizens and residents.

The statement added that Qatar strongly condemns the attack and makes it clear that this reckless Israeli behavior, interference in regional security, and any action targeting Qatar's security and sovereignty will not be tolerated. An investigation is underway at the highest level and detailed information will be released when it is available.
