US President Donald Trump has claimed that he stopped the India-Pakistan conflict through trade. He also said that he is credited with stopping seven wars around the world, and for that he should get the Nobel Peace Prize. Even according to Trump, he should get a separate Nobel Prize for each of the seven wars he stopped.

In his speech at the Founders Dinner of the American Cornerstone Institute on Saturday (September 20), President Trump said, "We are now earning respect on the world stage by doing things that have never been honored before. We are making peace agreements, stopping wars. We have stopped the India-Pakistan war, we have stopped the Thailand-Cambodia war."

He also said, "Think about the India-Pakistan conflict. Do you know how I stopped it? Through trade. They want to trade. I also deeply respect the leaders of both countries." But look at how many wars we have stopped—India-Pakistan, Thailand-Cambodia, Armenia-Azerbaijan, Kosovo-Serbia, Israel-Iran, Egypt-Ethiopia, Rwanda-Congo. In total, 60 percent of wars have been stopped because of trade.

Trump also said, as I said with India—if you wage war, there will be no trade. And remember, they also have nuclear weapons. Then they stop.

Trump said, many people have told him that if he can stop the Russia-Ukraine war, he will get the Nobel Prize. In this context, he said, I say, then what about the other seven? I should get a separate Nobel Prize for each one. They said, if you stop the Russia-Ukraine war, you can get the prize. I said, I stopped seven, this is just one—although it is a big war.

Regarding Russia-Ukraine, Trump said that he thought it would be the easiest to resolve because he has a good relationship with President Putin. However, he was disappointed. However, he expressed hope that this war will end somehow.
