US President Donald Trump has demanded that the location of Iran's drone factories be confirmed. According to him, most of the drone factories have been destroyed.
In an interview with NBC News journalist Kristen Welker on Friday (June 5), Trump said, "We know where Iran's drones are and where their drone factories are."
According to Trump, most of the drone factories have been destroyed. Similarly, most of the missile production facilities have been disabled. When asked how many missiles and drones Iran currently has, Trump refused to reveal specific numbers.
Trump said that they still have some missiles and drones. However, in terms of percentage, maybe 21 or 22 percent of the missile capability still remains.
Trump said that this amount of weapons is also 'a lot', but it is much less than the military capability that Iran had before the US-Israeli attack that began on February 28.
As for the reason why a final peace deal between the US and Iran has not yet been reached, Trump said that the talks are being dragged out because the Iranian leadership is “proud.”
“I think they can’t believe they’re in a situation where their leadership is practically torn apart. They’re proud. They’re having to do things they never imagined. But they have no choice.”
Meanwhile, speaking to reporters at the White House on Wednesday, Trump claimed that talks between the US and Iran were “going very well.”
Regarding a possible final deal, he said, “It may not happen, but there could be an agreement by the weekend.”
