Bangladesh beat Afghanistan to draw series with Tamim’s brilliant century

Finally, Bangladesh Under-19 captain Azizul Hakim Tamim shone with the bat in the last match. The all-rounder played a key role in the team's victory by scoring a century in a crucial match to save the series against Afghanistan Under-19. With this, the hosts leveled the series after trailing 2-1.
Bangladesh's youth defeated Afghanistan Under-19 by 2 wickets in the fifth ODI of the series at the Shahid Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi on Sunday (November 9). The five-match series ended in a 2-2 draw. The remaining one match was abandoned due to rain.
After winning the toss, the visitors scored 208 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. In response, the Tiger Youth reached the port of victory by losing 8 wickets in 45.5 overs.
Bangladesh were in trouble after losing two wickets in the beginning due to the Afghans' run chase. Shahriar (3) and Kalam (15) returned for 20 runs and 41 runs. Then Rizan came and departed for 27 runs. Abdullah (1) also failed to take advantage after falling for five. This put the hosts in danger.
But Azizul continued to play wickets at the other end. Farid Hossain fell for six after adding 23 runs. Then Debashish (7) and Ratul (1) departed one by one. Bangladesh lost 7 wickets after collecting 161 runs. When the Afghans were dreaming of winning the series, captain Azizul put on a 46-run partnership for the eighth wicket with Shahriar Al Amin off 35 balls. This opening all-rounder also scored a century.
But Azizul was out, 2 runs away from victory. Before returning to the dressing room, Azizul Haque Tamim played a winning innings of 100 runs off 118 balls with 7 fours and 3 sixes.
Then Al Amin and Swadhin completed the victory ceremony. Al Amin remained unbeaten on 17 runs off 21 balls. For the Afghans, Wahidullah Zadran took 4 wickets and Ahmadzai and Niazai took 2 wickets each.
Earlier, Osman Sadat played the highest innings with the bat for Afghanistan with 68 runs. In addition, captain Mahbub Khan scored 40 and Niazai scored 32 runs. For Bangladesh, Ratul took 2 wickets and Razin, Al Amin and Shahriar Ahmed took one wicket each.
