Why did Sana Khan leave Bollywood?

Sana Khan, the Indian actress and former Bigg Boss contestant, left Bollywood in October 2020. She announced her decision through a long social media post, saying she wanted to completely step away from the entertainment industry and devote her life to the service of humanity and to follow the path of Islam.

Her main reasons were:
Spiritual Calling – She wrote that she had been reflecting on the purpose of life and realized that “it is not just about wealth and fame” but about preparing for the afterlife.

Religious Conviction – Sana Khan said she wanted to “serve humanity and follow the commands of her Creator.” She emphasized that continuing in the entertainment industry conflicted with her faith and spiritual goals.

Mental Peace – In interviews later, she explained that fame and glamour were not giving her peace of mind, and she often felt empty despite success.

After leaving Bollywood, she married Mufti Anas Saiyad, a Surat-based Islamic scholar, in November 2020. Since then, she has been active in sharing religious reflections, lifestyle updates, and humanitarian work, rather than films or television.
