Hollywood star Robert Pattinson has responded to criticism that he did not do proper physical preparation for his role in the film ‘Batman: Part 2’ — a move that has spread in the media and social media.

Recently, the 40-year-old Twilight actor completely denied the claim that he avoided physical exercise and said that he follows a very strict and systematic fitness routine for this superhero character.

Earlier, a huge controversy arose over a comment made by Pattinson in an interview, where he called working out for fun ‘uncool’ or unfashionable. A section of netizens have since started questioning his sincerity towards the Batman character.

Recently, in an interview given to the world-famous lifestyle magazine GQ Magazine, Pattinson clarified his position.

He dismissed the claims about his physical fitness as completely false, saying, "I worked out every day with all my heart. But even after all that hard work, it looks like I haven't worked out at all! I worked out twice a day, sometimes I had to sweat it out in the gym at 3 am."

He firmly reiterated that he has been very consistent with his workout routine, regardless of public perception.

Pattinson has also set up a private gym at his Beverly Hills residence to keep himself fully prepared for the upcoming sequel to the Batman franchise.

He admitted, somewhat jokingly, that the actor is now fully committed to staying fit for the character. However, he also mentioned that he has not yet received the official schedule or timetable for the main shoot of the film.

Pattinson said that he recently spoke to the film's stunt coordinator and from there he learned that the film's production schedule is going to be quite difficult.

Pattinson said, "The other day the guy in charge of the stunts said to me, 'Wow, we're going to have to shoot 11 weeks of night shifts.' I was surprised and said, 'What are you talking about! No one has sent me a schedule yet!'

This much-awaited sequel, directed by Matt Reeves, has already created a huge frenzy among comics and movie lovers around the world. The film also stars Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, Brian Tyree Henry, Charles Dance and Sebastian Koch.

The film 'Batman: Part 2' is scheduled for release on October 1, 2027.

According to analysts, it is going to be one of the biggest and most anticipated superhero sequels of 2027. And Pattinson's hard work behind the scenes proves that the audience is about to see a great 'Dark Knight' on screen again.
