Pro-Palestine demonstrators gathered outside the headquarters of The New York Times in the United States to protest the newspaper’s editorial stance and its coverage of Israeli aggression in the besieged Gaza Strip, as well as its occupation of Palestinian and Lebanese territories.

The protesters assembled outside the newspaper’s offices in New York on Tuesday (October 20), local time. They allege that the publication has adopted a biased position in its reporting on Israel.

During the demonstration, participants chanted, "New York Times, you are liars." A large banner held by the protesters read, "Manufacturing consent for genocide happens here."

Many of the demonstrators carried Palestinian flags, and some wore the traditional Palestinian scarf, the *keffiyeh*. They distributed leaflets to passersby, while one individual accompanied the chants by playing a drum.

Law enforcement authorities implemented heightened security measures around the newspaper’s building in Manhattan to maintain control of the situation.

Israel launched its aggression in Gaza in October 2023. Simultaneously, Israel continues its occupation of Palestinian territories in the occupied West Bank.

Furthermore, Israel maintains what it terms a "security zone" in southern Lebanon. According to Lebanon and the United Nations, this constitutes an Israeli occupation and violates the framework for a ceasefire.
