The personal life of Tesla and SpaceX chief Elon Musk, the world's richest man, is back in the spotlight after his relationship with longtime partner and Neural Networks executive Siobhan Gillis abruptly ended. 

Siobhan Gillis herself announced the news of the breakup in an emotional post on social media.

Gillis said Musk broke up with her without any prior warning or notice. She said the two had exchanged affectionate messages just days before the breakup and that she was deeply hurt by the incident. However, she said they hoped to remain good friends and co-parents for the sake of their four children.

While studying at Queen's University in Canada, he had his first love affair with a young woman named Jennifer Gwin, which later broke up after he moved to California.
