Iran wants to make a deal with us due to fear of attack: Trump

In an interview with the US media outlet Punchbowl News, US President Donald Trump spoke openly about various issues of world and US politics. The interview covered various important issues including the Iran deal, US midterm elections, China and technological dominance.

Regarding Iran, the US president claimed that Tehran is ready to make a deal with the US. He said that Iran wants to make a deal with us. They don't want us to attack them.

In response to a question about oil prices, Trump said that if there is no new attack on Iran, the price of gasoline will decrease, and if there is an attack, there is a risk that the price will only increase. He cited the reason as Iran does not want to face any new conflict or attack.

Trump is quite optimistic about the upcoming November midterm elections. He firmly stated that the Republican Party will win both the House of Representatives and the Senate. However, he strongly criticized the US electoral system and said that the country's elections have always been chaotic and unorganized, which has been proven at various times, including 2020.

Trump compared the way some US states conduct elections to third world countries. In this context, he emphasized the need for the 'Save America Act' to make proof of citizenship mandatory in elections.

Regarding China and technological competition, Trump clearly stated that the United States cannot be allowed to surpass China in any way. Stating that the US will maintain its dominance in the artificial intelligence (AI) and cryptocurrency markets, he said, "We do not want China to dominate the crypto world. I do not want China to win in AI and crypto."

He also said that Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit the United States in the next few weeks and that the two leaders will meet at that time to discuss issues related to artificial intelligence and data centers.
