‘Do you trust Netanyahu?’ Trump’s calculated response

Donald Trump gave a calculated response when asked whether he trusts Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. However, the U.S. President also noted that he shares a good relationship with Netanyahu.

Trump made these remarks during an interview on Thursday (October 15) with the right-leaning American media outlet Newsmax.

Addressing the question of whether he trusts Netanyahu, Trump said, “To be honest—I don’t trust anyone. In the world of politics, I don’t trust anyone.”

Elections are scheduled to be held in Israel on October 27. Trump has been asked several times whether he intends to endorse Netanyahu, but he has yet to provide a clear decision on the matter.

Netanyahu has long highlighted his close relationship with Trump during his election campaigns. The interview also touched upon the interest among Israeli officials in involving Trump in Netanyahu’s re-election campaign.

When asked if he plans to get involved in the election, Trump replied, “Yes, they want me to be involved.”

While expressing skepticism regarding his trust in Netanyahu, Trump spoke positively about their relationship, stating that he has a “very good relationship” with the Israeli Prime Minister.

Furthermore, he praised the military cooperation between the United States and Israel against Iran, describing the military partnership between the two nations as “highly successful.”
