In that post, New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani is seen standing with his hand on Zayed Khan's shoulder. Sharing the post, Zayed wrote - What is this really happening? The answer to the mystery that was created on social media after the poster was released is now clear - this was not a formal meeting or a courtesy meeting; rather, it was revealed why Zayed Khan is in the same frame with New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

In this regard, Zayed Khan unraveled the mystery in an interview with a media outlet. On Friday midnight, he said that New York City Mayor Zohram Mamdani has acted with him in a short film. The name of this short film is ‘Immigrant Diaries Episode-2’.

Zayed Khan said that this project, directed by John Kabir and Saad Al Amin, is mainly based on the lives and experiences of expatriate Bangladeshis. The first episode of this series was released last March. The second episode will be released on the YouTube channel of ‘Thikana Bangladesh’ next Wednesday (May 27) at 9 pm Bangladesh time.

Regarding the New York Mayor, Zayed Khan said that despite being a popular and influential mayor known around the world, Zohram Mamdani was very sincere on the shooting set. While acting, he repeatedly tried to follow the director’s instructions. The actor said that he enjoyed the whole thing while doing the work.

He said that Zohram Mamdani acted directly with me in this short film. Working with him is not only my personal pride, I think it is also the pride of the red-green flag of Bangladesh.

Zayed Khan said that Ruhin Hossain of the US-based ‘Address’ and his wife Anuva Shaheen Hossain first emailed New York Mayor Mamdani. Along with this, Zayed Khan’s identity and detailed information about the project were also sent. After waiting for a few days, when the mayor’s office gave time, the shooting of ‘Immigrant Diaries Episode-2’ was done on the scheduled day.
