Platinum and palladium prices rise despite silver price decline

Precious metal prices in the international market showed a mixed trend. Although silver (spot silver) prices fell slightly on Thursday, platinum, palladium and gold prices rose.

According to the latest market data, spot silver prices fell by 0.4 percent to $61.84 per ounce.

On the other hand, platinum prices rose by 1.2 percent to $1,755.55 per ounce. At the same time, palladium prices rose by 1 percent to $1,376.71 per ounce.

Platinum and palladium prices rose for the third consecutive trading day. According to market analysts, there are indications of increasing demand for these two metals.

Meanwhile, spot gold prices rose 0.6 percent to $4,271.33 an ounce at 8:43 a.m. GMT on Thursday. Earlier in the day, gold prices hit their highest since June 18.

Gold prices also saw a big jump on Wednesday. That day, gold prices reached a high of $4,267.24 an ounce, the highest single-day increase since February.

On the other hand, US gold futures prices also rose 0.6 percent to $4,330.20 an ounce.
