A platoon of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members has been deployed in the capital Dhaka and surrounding districts to maintain overall law and order and ensure security. On Friday (November 14), BGB Public Relations Officer Md. Shariful Islam confirmed the matter to the media.
He said that 12 platoons of BGB have been deployed to maintain overall law and order and ensure security in Dhaka and surrounding districts.
In the past few days, in addition to arson in public places, cocktail explosions have occurred in various areas of the country including the capital due to the Awami League's 'Dhaka Lockdown' program, which was previously banned. Security has been strengthened in the capital and surrounding districts to prevent chaos.
Finally, miscreants set fire to a bus in the Beribandh area of Mirpur Shah Ali at around 10:30 pm on Thursday (November 13). One of the men was chased by locals and arrested when he tried to escape by setting fire to a Kiranmala Paribahan bus parked in the area at night. However, another man was chased by the crowd and jumped into the Turag River and drowned.
