A couple from Baldia Town in Karachi of Pakistan has welcomed quintuplets — three girls and two boys — following an emergency C-section at a private hospital. The birth marks the couple’s first, just a year into their marriage.
The babies were delivered prematurely, several weeks ahead of schedule, and are facing serious health challenges. According to doctors, all five newborns are severely underweight and experienced immediate breathing difficulties. They are currently being treated in the hospital's intensive care unit and remain under close observation.
Speaking to Samaa TV, the father, Adnan Sheikh, expressed both gratitude and concern. “I got married just a year ago, and this is our first childbirth. While we are thankful for this blessing, we simply cannot afford the medical expenses,” he said, appealing to the public and authorities for financial support.
Hospital officials noted a slight improvement in the condition of the babies, but emphasized that continued intensive care is critical for their survival and recovery.
Overwhelmed by the turn of events, Adnan added, “I never imagined Allah would bless us with five children at once. I just want them to survive and grow strong.”
