Investigations into the case of model and actress Humaira have made significant progress as her mobile phone has been handed over to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) for forensic analysis.
According to officials, CTD experts will examine the phone's privacy locks and extract further details.
Investigators revealed that Humaira was last seen leaving her home on September 28. She visited Clifton around 1 PM and returned by 2 PM, after which she was not seen exiting her residence.
Officials also disclosed that Humaira was suffering from severe financial troubles and was distressed due to lack of work opportunities. Analysis of her messages showed repeated pleas for work or job referrals, but many recipients did not take her concerns seriously.
Authorities are also investigating why no odor was detected from her body for a long time. It was noted that in November, residents of the building's second floor complained to the watchman about a foul smell coming from her apartment. However, when the building owners checked, they did not notice any odor and the matter was dismissed. Officials believe the delay in noticing the smell caused it to weaken over time.
Further, officials stated that Humaira was reportedly washing clothes when the fatal incident occurred. She is believed to have exited the bathroom for some purpose, collided with something, and fell. No food items were found in the kitchen, and although a food delivery app was present on her phone, it was not functional.
Investigators also mentioned that Humaira's bank details are expected to be received today, which may provide additional insights into her financial condition and recent activities.
