A lightning strike occurred near the rally of Bolsonaro's supporters.

A lightning strike occurred near the rally of former President Jair Bolsonaro's supporters in the Brazilian capital, Brasilia. So far, 89 people have been reported injured. This information was reported by the country's disaster management department.

Thousands of activists and supporters gathered in the rain on Sunday (January 25) to demand the release of Bolsonaro. At the same time, they demanded a general amnesty for the leader. The lightning strike caused panic in the crowd with flashing lights and roaring sounds, and many people started running wearing umbrellas and plastic.

The fire service said that they received 89 injured people at the scene, of whom 47 were taken to hospital, and 11 needed emergency treatment.

The rally was organized by Brazilian lawmaker Nicolas Ferreira, who demanded the release and pardon of Bolsonaro, who is currently imprisoned in the Papuda Penitentiary and was sentenced to 27 years in prison last year after being convicted of election fraud.
