U.S. Bombed 3 Iran Nuke Sites: Trump

President Donald Trump has announced that the United States carried out airstrikes on three of Iran’s key nuclear facilities, dramatically escalating tensions in the Middle East and directly joining Israel’s military campaign against Tehran.
Speaking from the White House, Trump said the attacks targeted uranium enrichment sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, declaring them “completely and totally obliterated.”
“Our objective was the destruction of Iran’s nuclear enrichment capacity and a stop to the nuclear threat posed by the world’s number one state sponsor of terror,” Trump said. “The strikes were a spectacular military success.”
Iran condemned the strikes, with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi saying the U.S. had “blown up diplomacy” and that Tehran reserves the right to defend itself. He warned of long-term repercussions and is expected to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
Hours after the U.S. attack, Iran launched 20 ballistic missiles at Israel, injuring at least 16 people. Israel responded with targeted airstrikes on Iranian missile launchers and military assets in western Iran.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard warned that U.S. bases in the region are now “points of vulnerability,” though it stopped short of announcing immediate retaliation. Iranian media downplayed the damage to nuclear infrastructure, and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported no radiation leaks.
The strikes drew global condemnation. Russia called the U.S. action “irresponsible,” while China and the EU urged restraint. Iranian allies, including Hezbollah and the Houthis, have yet to engage, though threats were made.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised Trump, calling the strikes “historic,” and said Israel’s goal to neutralize Iran’s nuclear threat had been fulfilled.
Trump ended his address with a warning to Tehran:
“There will be either peace, or there will be tragedy for Iran far greater than we have witnessed over the last eight days.”
