Israeli Air Force is carrying out large-scale strikes on gas facilities in the Bandar Abbas area in southwestern Iran and on the nuclear facility in the central city of Isfahan, the Israel Hayom newspaper said on Saturday evening, citing an unnamed Israeli official. Meanwhile, Tehran has vowed a devastating response within hours.

“The Israeli Air Force is launching extensive attacks on key gas facilities in Bandar Abbas, which overlooks the Strait of Hormuz, the nuclear facility in Isfahan, and additional targets in the capital, Tehran,” said the official.

No official statement was issued by the Israeli military regarding the attacks.

Meanwhile, the semi-official Iranian news agency Tasnim reported that Israel launched heavy attacks on the capital Tehran and the provinces of Hormozgan, Kermanshah, West Azerbaijan, Lorestan, and Khuzestan.

According to Tasnim, which is known for its close ties to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), air defense systems were activated in response to the strikes.

Separately, Iran's state TV said "massive and devastating" Iranian strikes will be launched against Israel within hours.

Israeli Broadcasting Authority KAN cited a senior emergency official as saying that “we are on maximum alert and facing an unprecedented scenario in Israel.”

Israel launched a series of strikes against Iranian territory, targeting nuclear and missile facilities early Friday, killing senior military figures and scientists.

The wave of attacks has continued and resulted in the deaths of at least 78 people with 320 others injured, according to figures earlier announced by Iran's UN envoy. Iran first launched its retaliatory attacks on Friday, dubbing it as "Operation True Promise III."
