60,950 metric tons of wheat arrived at Chittagong Port from the United State

MV Lowlands Patrush ship carrying wheat arrived at Chittagong Port from the United States.
MV Lowlands Patrush, a ship carrying 60,950 metric tons of wheat brought from America under the Cash Purchase Agreement (G-2-G)-1 under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the United States and the Bangladeshi government, has arrived at the outer anchorage of Chittagong Port.
This is the fourth shipment as part of the 440,000 metric tons of wheat import from the United States on a government-to-government (G-2-G) basis. Earlier, the first shipment of 56,959 metric tons of wheat arrived in the country on October 25, the second shipment of 60,802 metric tons on November 3, and the third shipment of 60,875 metric tons of wheat on November 15.
Including the new shipment, a total of 239,586 metric tons of wheat has reached the country so far.
The wheat sample testing of the ship that arrived at Chittagong Port has already begun. The Food Ministry said that the process of unloading the wheat will be started as soon as the results of the sample testing are received.
